De man begon z'n zangcarrière bij Yngwie J. Malmsteen ergens midden jaren '80, ging in de jaren daarna door met allerlei melodieuze rock, waarna in de jaren '90 duidelijk werd dat de man ook andere muziek wil maken. Dat liet hij merken in één van de vele bands waar hij in zat; Talisman, maar vooral met z'n eerste soloalbum "Love Parade" uit 1995, dat opvallend funky en soulvol is. Eigenlijk kan het solo bij hem net als bij z'n vriend Glenn Hughes alle kanten op gaan. Soto's tweede soloalbum "Prism" uit 2002 was een A.O.R. plaat met veel ballads en enkele rockers. "Lost in the Translation" van daarna is daarintegen een hardrock album. En nu? Nu komt zijn vierde album met de titel "Beautiful Mess" uit. De samples klinken als stevige soulvolle, funky geproduceerde poprock. Daarbij komen allerlei high-tech geluiden om de hoek zetten om het modern te maken (of het lukt?) en in de rustigere stukken hoor ik invloeden van Seal terug. Maar moet je raden? Back! And would prove a fitting emicon today. Os is complete and i will abuse today with gaming, reading what i love (and that is manga) and watching whatever. Don't you just love these type of days, where doing nothing is absolutely so fulfilling in its own contradicting way. You know what i find amazing too, the stillness of the environment outside my house. Sometimes i look at the big blue sky and though it looks like there's this solid blue barrier in the way, i can't help but wonder what are the limits of space beyond this world. I can't help but wonder why the fresh winds feel so good to a nice warm sunny day, i can't help feel nostalgic in moments like these. Have you ever just taken a normal stroll to see what we see everyday but never notice? Now i gotta say i'm pretty impressed at how many people have commented, i really didn't intend to attract people to this blog i purely did it just to write whatevers on my mind that might interest the everyday reader.
